According to the State Border Guard Service of the Krasnodar regional branch of the Federal Security Service, the Russian air company Don Avia has been called to administrative account for bringing to Sochi a passenger without a Russian visa.

Upon her arrival to Sochi from Yerevan, one of the passengers, a Georgian national, failed to produce a Russian visa in her passport and was sent back. As it proved, the air company had not checked the visa at the airport of departure.

A border guards spokesperson noted that that was not the first such violation this year.

In February, the Turkish Airlines brought a Turkish national without a Russian visa to Sochi from Istanbul. Recently, the Austrian Airlines reportedly committed the same offence.
