This spring, two foreign citizens were reportedly deported from Krasnodar Airport back to their home countries for not being able to produce a Russian visa.

The first passenger was an Austrian national who showed his passport with no visa stamp on it to Russian border guards, and thus was not let pass through the state border, had to pay a fine and return back home.

The other case happened two weeks later, when an Italian citizen tried to enter the country without a visa in his passport. So he too was sent back by a return flight.

Reportedly, both passengers had come by an Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna to Krasnodar. The air company paid a 50,000-ruble fine for failing to check the required documents before the flight.
