Sochi, a popular seaside resort in South Russia, is looking forward to once again receiving the legendary F1 race.

Earlier, Sochi hosted two races - in Octobers of 2014 and 2015; now the Russian round has been re-scheduled for spring.

So the fastest pilots are to gather in Sochi in two weeks' time - from April 28 until May 1.
The day of April 28 will be dedicated to protocol events - press conferences, managerial meetings and racing track inspections. On that day, the fans who have bought tickets valid for all 4 days of the event will get a chance to come to the pit lane and see the Bolides from a minimum distance.

The qualifying heats have been scheduled for April 29 and 30, and the race itself will start on Sunday, May 1 (53 rounds, or 120 minutes).

According to the organizers, this year the tickets for Russia's F1 Grand Prix are being sold better than last year.

"We were having a sold-out stadium two years in a row, and I'm sure this will be the case this year too. But we have a dream - to have by 2020 as many as 100,000 spectators come to the stadium on the racing day. And we are working hard to succeed," said Sergei Vorobiev, F1 Russia promoter.
