Krasnodar, 9 October – Yug Times. More than 16 billion roubles have reportedly been allocated this year to support teachers across the Kras nodar region.
“It is the teacher who sparks a child’s interest in different subjects and helps unlock their talents. We have created a whole package of support measures — from bonus es for personal achievements and student successes to monthly payments in various areas. From 2026, the region will increase its additional payment granted to teachers up to 15,000 roubles a month to properly reward their work,” said Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
He added that teachers in need of housing can also receive a regional grant of 1 million roubles towards a mortgage down payment. Since 2022, nearly 1,300 teachers have benefited from this programme.
Many towns and districts are introducing their own support schemes. In 33 municipalities, young teachers and winners or finalists of professional competitions receive extra payments. In Krasnodar, the compensation for monthly mortgage payments has been raised to 25,000 roubles. In the Kavkazsky district, newcomers taking up posts in local schools are awarded up to 28,000 roubles.
