Krasnodar, 19 February – Yug Times. The Krasnodar region recently held a Cattle Breeders' Day event, honouring the top professionals in the industry. During the ceremony, Vladimir Ustinov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, presented seven cattle breeders with prestigious state awards. Sergei Voskresensky, Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding of the federal Ministry of Agriculture, greeted the awardees on behalf of the Ministry and conferred the title of Honoured Worker of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Russia to three local farmers. 

Veniamin Kondratiev highlighted the significant achievements of the Krasnodar region's livestock breeders, emphasising their role in developing modern production facilities to ensure the country's food security. 

"By the end of 2024, the region had produced 1.7 million tonnes of milk, 595,000 tonnes of meat, and 1.6 billion eggs, making it a national leader. We achieved a record productivity level with the milking herd — today, one cow produces almost 10.5 tonnes of milk, and on the leading farms, 15 tonnes." said Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
