Krasnodar, 24 December – Yug Times. Tax rates for small technology companies have reportedly been reduced in the Kuban region.

A new regional law setting tax rates under the simplified system for small tech companies and entrepreneurs engaged in scientific activities will come into force on 1 January 2025.

"Now instead of 6 and 15 per cent, it will be only 1 per cent of income and 5 per cent under the 'income minus expenses' scheme, respectively, for companies using the simplified tax system," said Vice-Governor Aleksandr Ruppel. "Supporting technological business and scientific entrepreneurship will contribute to the development of knowledge-intensive industries and attract new participants to this sphere."

Enterprises included in the register of small technological enterprises can take advantage of the new tax incentive. In the Krasnodar region, 63 companies were granted a small tech company status during the year.

The incentives also apply to small and midsize companies that carry out research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences and have registered the results of their intellectual activity.
