Krasnodar, 18 December – Yug Times. IFrom 2025, foreign citizens will no longer be granted work permits to work in any sector of the region's economy.
The decree was signed by the region's governor, Veniamin Kondratiev.
According to the document, from next year it will be forbidden to employ foreign citizens who carry out work on the basis of patents in all spheres of economic activity. In the construction sector, employers will have until 1 July 2025 to bring the number of foreign workers into line with the ban.
By order of the governor, the Krasnodar region continues to regulate the number of foreign workers. This is necessary to maintain an optimal balance of labour resources and promote the priority employment of Russian citizens. For example, the number of foreigners working under a patent for legal entities and entrepreneurs fell by 5,200 people in the first nine months of this year.
Since 2022, the region has banned the employment of foreign citizens working on the basis of patents for certain types of activities.
