Krasnodar, 4 September – Yug Times. This year, 76,000 first-graders came for the first time to Kuban schools. On Knowledge Day, nine new schools were opened in the Krasnodar region. The Governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratiev, came to one of them, located in Znamensky neighbourhood. He congratulated the teachers, students and their parents on the start of the new school year.
"Last year, nine schools were built in the Krasnodar region, and this year also nine schools. In total, 94 new state-of-the-art schools have been opened since 2015.
Your school was built as part of the Education national project. We are doing everything to ensure that Kuban children grow up healthy and successful, and are able to actualise themselves. On Knowledge Day, 790,000 students will take part in the solemnities. I am sure that all those who receive knowledge in such modern educational institutions will become the pride of Krasnodar, the Kuban region, and the entire country," said Veniamin Kondratiev to the schoolchildren.
The new school in Znamensky is designed for 1,100 students. Almost 800 students began to learn there last Monday, of whom 116 were first-graders.
