Krasnodar, 7 August – Yug Times. Krasnodar was reportedly among the top five regions in terms of the volume of car loans issued in January-June 2024.
Over the first six months of this year, the total sum of the issued car loans amounted to 50.46 roubles, which was by 5% more compared to the same period last year, according to the National Bureau of Credit Histories' (NBCH) study. The highest figures were observed in Moscow city (88.9 billion roubles), Moscow region (75 billion roubles).
"Significant growth rates in the volume of issued car loans in the first half of 2024 compared to last year are explained primarily by the effect of a low base due to the shortage of new cars at the beginning of last year. It is worth noting that after the resumption of mass deliveries of new cars in mid-2023, auto loan disbursements began to rise. The recent high rates of loan disbursements was primarily due to the anticipations that interest rates will rise in the future, which means that the loans for new cars will become more expensive," said Aleksei Volkov, NBCH Marketing Director.
Another reason for the positive dynamics of issued car loans reportedly were promotions and discounts offered by distributors.
