Krasnodar, 10 July – Yug Times. The problem with personnel in the health care system was discussed in Krasnodar last week. The Krasnodar region is currently experiencing a shortage of medical staff. In some districts understaffing of doctors in medical centres reaches 20-38%.
"Nearly 18,000 doctors and 35,000 nurses work in the Krasnodar region's healthcare system," said Valentina Ignatenko, Deputy Minister of Health of Krasnodar Krai. "Despite the support measures thatat already exist in the region, there is a shortage of doctors, including narrow specialities, as well as nursing staff in a number of municipalities."
The session discussed the issues of modernisation of personnel services of medical organisations, standardisation of personnel search and selection processes. A separate issue under discussion was the creation of a system of additional motivation to attract medical workers. As Valentina Ignatenko reported, from 1 January 2024, the salaries of health care workers were almost doubled by the regional governor's decree. Every year 200 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget to purchase housing for medical workers.
