Minister of Construction, Transport, Housing and Roads Valeri Kartamyshev reported that 1.3 billion roubles had been collected into the Road Fund over the past period. These included revenues from excise taxes on fuels and lubricants, transport tax and fines for traffic violations. Since the beginning of the year, the fund's expenditures made up around 2 billion roubles. The funds were allocated for the works within the framework of the ‘Safe Quality Roads’ national project, installation and maintenance of cameras for photo-video registration of traffic violations, payment for the activities of the republican Road Safety Centre, etc. Over 414 million roubles were spent on road management. More than 268 million roubles were spent under the programme ‘Complex Development of Rural Areas.’ The total volume of the republican Road Fund for 2024 is forecasted at 4.7 billion roubles. The meeting also raised the issue of limitation of electric scooters traffic in the city of Maikop. It is planned to ban the use of electric scooters in crowded public areas.
