The industrial production indicators have increased in 31 municipalities of the Kuban region, stated the data of the region's economic development in 2023 announced by First Deputy Governor Igor Galas at an extended meeting of the region's Ministry of Economy and Finance.
"The Krasnodar region has moved up to sixth place in the top ten largest regional economies, and it takes a leading position in terms of growth rates. According to the results of 2023, 31 municipalities provided growth in industrial production, 26 - increase in agricultural products sales, 28 - increase in construction works, 30 - increase in transport services, 43 - increase in retail trade turnover, and 28 municipalities increased investment in fixed assets," said Igor Galas.
The first vice-governor reminded that the unemployment rate in the region remained at a record low level of 0.3%. According to Igor Galas, on the one hand, this is good, but on the other hand, it is indicative of a shortage of personnel in the labour market and is a constraint to the development of the region.
