Krasnodar, 25 January – Yug Times. The mechanism of public-private partnership in the Kuban region has reportedly been applied for 82 projects.
The total amount of investment in these projects was 143.5 billion roubles, of which 87.2 billion roubles were private funds.
Concession agreements, with 42 projects, accounted for a significant share of public-private partnerships. Most of them were developed for the housing and utilities sector. The rest 28 were power service contracts.
Within the framework of the concluded concessions, it is planned to start the construction of 14.6 km of tramways in Krasnodar, and purchase 90 single-section trams. The construction of five schools for 6,800 students in Novorossiysk, Anapa and Armavir was also announced. In addition, the construction of treatment facilities in Gelendzhik will proceed, and the water supply and sewage systems in Krasnodar will be upgraded.
In the near future, the Krasnodar region may implement infrastructure projects using public-private partnership mechanisms worth over 350 billion roubles. The priority was given to the development of the transport sector and solid waste management.
