Krasnodar, 27 December – Yug Times. The Krasnodar region and China are reportedly looking for new positions for mutual trade activity.
Last week, business executives from China and Kuban met in Krasnodar to discuss supplies of food, agricultural products and alcohol beverages.
“We see a steady growth in the exports of Kuban products to China," said Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel. “China ranks second among our largest export counterparts, and the first among the countries that buy food products, alcohol and non-alcohol beverages from us. Over the past six months, the Krasnodar region's total trade turnover with China has increased by more than one and a half times, while exports have grown by 36 per cent.” The business representatives from China held several B2B meetings with Kuban producers. At a roundtable, they discussed the demand for Kuban-made goods in the People's Republic of China.
As part of the business mission, the foreign guests visited a flour mill in Ust-Labinsk, a grain elevator, vegetable oil production, and cattle breeding facilities, and a sugar refinery.
