Krasnodar, 20 December – Yug Times. Sochi will be receiving about 280,000 guests during the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays.
The occupancy of the mountain resorts during the New Year holidays is expected to reach 90%, while the average tourist fl ow in all four districts of Greater Sochi, based on current booking data, will reach 77%. The city’s Operational Headquarters as part of the regional coordination headquarters will be working in Krasnaya Poliana round the clock from 25 December until 8 January.
“Our task is to provide residents and guests with safe, high-quality and comfortable holidays. At the same time, special attention should be paid to law and order, anti-terrorist protection of infrastructure facilities, sanitary condition, and fi re safety,” stressed Sochi Mayor Aleksei Kopaigorodsky.
In total, during the New Year and Christmas holidays over 250 events are planned in Greater Sochi, including about 90 aimed at children.
