Krasnodar, 8 September – Yug Times. Krasnodar needs to develop electric transport more dynamically, concluded Ilya Zotov, Chairman of the All-Russian Passengers Association, following the inspection of the work of passenger transport in the regional capital. He emphasised that Krasnodar needs to continue to shift the public transport routes to working on ‘gross contracts’.
The results of the inspection of the work of the public transport were discussed last week at the meeting with Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Naumov.
“In the morning, we inspected the public transport that went along the Western Bypass. Certainly, this part of the city does need public transport, and it is important to make the conveyances more comfortable. The private carriers need to improve their service; so far we have a lot of questions to them. For example, the buses do not have sound and visual support for people with disabilities, air conditioners, and so on. It is necessary to develop unified and higher standards that entrepreneurs must meet,” Ilya Zotov commented.
In total, Krasnodar should receive 60 new trolleybuses this year, of which 31 already ply the city’s streets. The new trolleybuses will make it possible to renew the stock of three bus routes, and to launch a new trolleybus route from the Central Railway Station to Gubernsky Neighbourhood.
