Krasnodar, 18 August – Yug Times. The Hot Heart themed session has reportedly started at the all-Russian Children’s Centre Orlionok (The Eaglet).
“This year the Hot Heart celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since 2013, we have been looking for laureates among children, teenagers and young adults under 23, who have displaced active civic position, gave a helping hand to other people, or overcame a difficult life situation. Over the past ten years, over 1,500 conscious young citizens have been awarded”, Sergey Smirnov, Vice General Director of the Foundation of Social and Cultural Initiatives, said.
This year, there were 141 award-winners, including 12 public organisations and associations, but only 50 children are taking part in the Orlionok’s summer session.
“Since the first Hot Heart session held in the Orlionok in 2015, 485 children from different Russian regions have participated in it. During the session, the children hold ‘housewarming meetings’ for their peers in all camps of our Centre,” commented Aleksandr Dzheus, Director of the all-Russian Children’s Centre Orlionok.
