Krasnodar, 8 August – Yug Times. Krasnodar is trying to solve the problem of solid waste disposal. Last week it became known that the Kuban capital will develop the mechanism of issuing single bills that will cover payments for waste removal and electricity supply. Moscow’s experience will be taken as the example. In addition, joint work will be organised to check the existing contracts for waste removal signed by legal entities and natural persons registered as entrepreneurs. Special attention will be given to the open-air markets.
“We cannot allow Krasnodar streets to be littered. Ecology and public health depend on how we handle solid municipal waste. We need to work systematically and in close contact with the regional waste disposal company. Thereby we will create not only a clean and safe environment for all our citizens, but also an attractive image of the Kuban capital,” said Sergei Storchun, Director of the Department for Municipal Economy and Fuel and Energy Complex.
The “Garbage Collection Company” JSC was instructed to provide a roadmap fto hire drivers of dumping trucks. Besides, the regional waste disposal company should develop the concept of waste collection container sites for different parts of Krasnodar.
