Krasnodar, 25 July – Yug Times. The Krasnodar regional authorities have reportedly summarised the interim results of the holiday season.
In the first half of the summer season, the region received 4.1 million holidaymakers.
“The tourist flow remains at the last year’s level. Our Black Sea resorts are now 87 per cent, and those of the Azov coast are 80 per cent full. The occupancy rate in the steppe and piedmont areas is about 50 per cent,” said Mikhail Zaritsky, acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar region. Last week, about 191,000 holidaymakers stayed in Sochi.
“The average occupancy rate in local hotels is 88.4% at the coastline, and 74% in the mountain cluster. The air passenger traffic grew by 7% compared to last week, and the rail passenger traffic grew by 10%. More than 63,000 cars came to the resort through the Magri checkpoint,” said Oleg Burlev, Sochi Deputy Mayor.
