Krasnodar, 15 February. During the 10th National Aviation Infrastructure Show, Sevastianov Sochi International Airport gained a reward for efficient work as the main transport hub in southern Russia. Once again, the airport championed the nomination “Facing Up to the Challenges.”
 “The award was given due to the airport’s stable operation as the main hub in southern Russia. An unprecedented passenger flow related to the temporary closure of 11 airports in the central and southern parts of Russia demanded that Sochi Airport should keep up to rendering high-quality service to all passengers. The airport’s flight destinations, especially its international part, also grew significantly. Sochi was successful in a new role of a major transit hub for domestic and international flights,” the Sochi City Hall press service announced. At the show, Sochi Airport presented its development plans for the period up to 2027. The total volume of investments in development of the airport and the adjacent territory is to reach 25 billion roubles.
