Krasnodar, 7 February. The work of the city graffiti artists will reportedly be brought under control in Krasnodar. The authorities want to have them focused on military patriotic themes.
Last week, representatives of the local street-art community were invited to the Krasnodar City Department for Youth Affairs to discuss what is allowed to be shown on the façades, what documents are needed for that and who to get them approved with.
“The aim of the gathering was to identify the new locations for creative ideas, form new zones for free imagination – graffiti parks,” explained Sergei Maltsev, Head of the Department for Youth Affairs. He also added that main plans and prospects for this year had been drawn with regard to the new street-art projects on various themes, one of which will be the 80th anniversary of Krasnodar’s liberation from the Nazi invaders. In their turn, the graffiti artists voiced their own proposals and opinions.
