Krasnodar, 1 February. The Western Detour Road of Krasnodar has reportedly been transferred into the city’s ownership.
It was done according to the resolution signed by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
“Following our plans and transport modelling pattern developed for this part of the city, we are handed the road over to municipal ownership.
It is being done to simplify the projecting and further works, because the city authorities have ambitions plans – to lay a tramway and expand the road in question.
This is a rational and reasonable approach that will allow to meet the target dates,” Vice Governor Andrei Proshunin said.
According to the document, the Western Approach to Krasnodar together with all overland pedestrian crossings located on this road are being transferred from the regional into the municipal ownership.
Local residents have much concern about the transport accessibility of the city’s Western Detour Neighbourhood which is being developed actively.
For instance, public discussion of the construction of the tramline from the Western Depot to German Village Neighbourhood ended in Krasnodar.
The project is to be completed by the end of 2024 in the framework of a concessionary agreement with the investor.
