Krasnodar, 24 January. A new support measure for beginning farmers will be developed in the Kuban region. The news was announced at the recent session of the Governor’s Council on Entrepreneurial Development.
In 2022, the total support granted to local entrepreneurs amounted to 31 billion roubles, including eight billion assigned as loans and warranties by regional foundations. Currently, the Microfinancing Foundation issues 20 types of microloans to the period of three years with the interest rate varying from 0.1% to 6.5%. One of its latest initiatives was debt restructuring as part of the regional Plan on assuring sustainable economic development.
At present, over 279,000 small and midsize businesses operate in the Krasnodar region. They employ more than 1.1 million people.
According to Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel, a half of the small and midsize businesses are located in the three biggest cities of the region: Krasnodar, Sochi and Novorossiysk. These cities also show the highest growth rate of business entities. As for the municipalities, Dinskoi, Slaviansk and Tuapse Rayons are taking the lead
