Krasnodar, 24 January. Last week, a delegation of resort municipalities of the Krasnodar region visited Kaliningrad. The delegation included architects and mayors of Anapa, Gelendzhik, Yeisk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Tuapse and Temriuk rayons (districts). The aim of their visit was to study and acquire the experience of beautification and landscaping of public and seafront areas, infrastructural development, and the conceptual design of contemporary seaside cities.
The guests visited Zelenogradsk and Kaliningrad. According to the local authorities, peculiar attention is paid in the both cities to arrange barrier-free environment, foot and bicycle paths, sports grounds and dog runs, greenfield recreation areas, landscaping techniques, lighting, hardscaping, and appearance of stalls.According to Acting Architect of Tuapse Rayon Denis Semenenko, the Baltic cities emphasise the importance of combination of modern comfortable conditions and preservation of the historical environment and atmosphere of the past.
