Krasnodar, 28 December. The yearly inflation in the Kuban region kept on slowing down reaching 11.1% in November, which was lower than the national average of 12%. Experts stated that the price trends in the Krasnodar region had been influenced by growing offers, driving down producers’ costs, and a moderate demand.

“Owing to the higher yield of beets, sugar producers were able to increase their output, which was why the yearly price rise for sugar continued to slow down in November. As a result, expenditures of confectioneries lowered – thus the rise in the prices of chocolate, sweets and biscuits began losing steam. It was especially important on the eve of the New Year holidays, when sweets were being actively bought for presents,” Yelena Kravchenko, Head of the Economic Administration of the Southern Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia, commented.

Chicken meat also became cheaper in the Krasnodar region. It happened due to the growing production volumes of poultry and lowering prices for grain feed and soya. Besides, the price rise for sausages, frankfurters, meat dumplings, milk and sour cream slowed down.
