Krasnodar, 16 December. Since the beginning of the year, more than 16.7 million tourists have reportedly visited Kuban resorts.
The figure was announced at the Resort Olympus 2022 tourist industry contest awards ceremony. It was also announced that over the past three years the volume of investments in the tourist industry has grown tenfold. At present, 39 investment projects worth of 290 billion roubles are being implemented in the Krasnodar region – it means new hotels and spas, 16,000 new jobs, and additional facilities and opportunities for the tourists.
“The demand for high-quality comfortable recreation keeps on growing, which means that we will have to be improving year on year, to develop our resorts and preserve what Nature has given us. We consistently protect valuable natural areas, where we have stopped the abusive construction activity, and we approve new master plans for the resort cities. This work is already bringing effect,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted.
