Krasnodar, 15 December. A new support mechanism for industrial enterprises has reportedly been developed in the Kuban region.

The specialised commission has approved funding of first projects in radio electronics, agricultural machine building, and pharmaceutical production. Over 90 million roubles will be assigned from the regional budget for establishment and development of import-substituting industrial production facilities.

The regional budget began to cover part of the industries’ expenses for establishment and development of import-substituting productions. This is a unique practice for Russia; this mechanism is included in the regional Sustainable Economic Development and Social Stability Assurance Plan,” explained Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel at the session of the commission.

The money will be granted to three enterprises. For instance, with the help of this support measure an IP video cameras producing company from Krasnodar will be able to increase its output from 3,000 up to 6,000 cameras a month. So far, 90% of such devices used in the country are imported from abroad.
