The parties are planning to launch an electronic trading platform, where unfit and expired products will be sold to recyclers for future production of fertilisers and animal food. It will enable to reduce the volume of food waste transported for annihilation or placed at the dump, and to prolong products’ life cycle.
It is planned that at first the electronic trading platform will be working only with non-animal products which do not require veterinary examination – bread, pastries, groceries, fruits, vegetables, snacks, etc. For animal products, the ground will help find specialised contractors involved with their recycling and licensed for such activity.
