Part of this sum – about 750 million roubles – will arrive at the region in the framework of the national project “Tourism and hospitality industry;” 30 million roubles will be assigned by the regional budget. The money will be spent to develop national tourist routes, construction of campgrounds, and beach furniture. “Subsidies can be given to entrepreneurs who open up new updated tourist products and comfortable facilities, or upgrade the existing ones. It will help make the region’s tourist industry more variegated and accessible,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said. Besides, the governmental support can be used to cover the expenses related to the infrastructural development, for instance, creation of barrier-free tourist environment for people with limited abilities, including furnishing ramps, lifts, and electronic guides. By the end of the year, the entrepreneurs and organisations having concrete projects will receive 95 subsidies.
