Krasnodar, 8 September. Kuban farmers may be receiving harvest-secured bank loans.
If this initiative announced by the regional power is approved by the banks, the farmers will become able to replenish their working assets to hold the next sowing campaign.
Commenting on this initiative, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted that farmers do need substantial sums for the upcoming sowing campaign, but objectively they do not have this money so far, because they have not yet had time to sell the new harvest.
Vice Governor Andrei Korovka who is in charge of the issues of agricultural complex noted that soft crediting is one of the most sought-after governmental support mechanisms, though not all farmers may have a pledge to secure the bank credit.
“Farmers who more than once addressed us with such proposal consider this problem as quite serious.
