Krasnodar, 11 August. The current problems of small agricultural businesses were reportedly discussed at the recent congress of the Kuban Association of Farm Households.
Now there are over 13,000 farms and about a million personal subsidiary plots in the Kuban region. They till a third of all arable lands in the region. Starting from January 2023, farmers will be able to lease land plots without biddings. By federal law, the land can be granted for the period of up to five years. As for the governmental support of the agricultural sector, the regional budget will spend 570 million roubles for that purpose this year. The money will be used for grants and subsidies, and financial covering of the programs “Agro Startup” and “Small Garden.” Besides, the amount of the subsidy for the sale of cattle meat was doubled this year to 10 roubles per 1 kg, and the cost of the greenhouses for berries began to be subsidized in amount of 350 roubles per 1 sq m.
