Krasnodar, 29 July. The construction of martial centres in Kuban municipalities is reportedly falling behind schedule.
The construction progress of sports facilities was the main topic of discussion at a recent meeting held by the regional administration.
“We should open up martial centres in every municipality, so that the youth and all residents of the region can take up sports and improve their health in comfortable conditions. However, only five [such centres] have been completed so far – in Armavir, Brukhovetsky, Pavlovsky, Slaviansk and Abinsk rayons. The deadlines for a number of projects were postponed due to price rises. The [municipal] heads must personally control the construction of sports facilities,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said.
At present, ten martial centres are being built in the Krasnodar region. The works are falling behind schedule in Yeisk, Kanevskoi, Krymsk, Tbilissky and Korenovsk rayons.
A similar situation has shaped in some municipalities with the construction of convenience gyms, for instance, in Vyselki, Yeisk, Mostovskoi and Slaviansk rayons.
