Krasnodar, 5 Мay. The military parades and the Immortal Regiment processions will reportedly be resumed in the Kuban region this year as the anti-COVID high-alert regime has been cancelled.
The constraints had been valid for two years, which was why the traditional May activities had not been held in traditional format. This year, the Victory Parade in Novorossiysk and the solemn military procession will be resumed with spectators. Besides, the traditional Immortal Regiment activity will be held offline in all cities and municipalities of Krasnodar Krai.
In addition to that, the war veterans will be greeted at home by mobile artistic teams.
Another item of the agenda will be the races dedicated to May 9. One of them, the Kuban Athletes Relay Race, is an annual event held in commemoration of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The central start will take place in Krasnodar, with two races: a 5,000 m race for 15 to 64-yearold athletes, and a 1,000 m race for 7 to 14-year-olds.
