The city’s resort priority

Krasnodar, 11 March. The second stage in the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of Sochi until 2030 is over. 

The development of said strategy has been underway since last year. 

- Today Sochi has a great potential, despite serious challenges from the outside. The city has all possibilities to become a year-round international high-class resort. We will pay special attention to the development of the tourism industry. This sector occupies about 80% of all the economy of our city, - said Deputy Mayor Sergei Belousov. 

The Department of Economics and Strategic Development of the City Hall has conducted a comprehensive study and identifi ed priority areas for the development of urban areas, taking into account their geographical, social and economic characteristics. Since the beginning of the work more than 30 different events, including meetings of the Town Planning Council and fi eld meetings with the chairmen of the TPS. Members of the working groups gathered all the necessary information and wishes of Sochi citizens.
