Krasnodar, 4 March. First lots of humanitarian aid for refugees from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics recently declared by Russia were reportedly shipped from Adyghea.
The collection of humanitarian supplies began last week. The collection points opened in every municipality – at schools, with the help of volunteers. They accept baby foods, plastic dishes, child care products, bed linen, toiletries, household appliances (electric kettles, small fridges, strips, etc.), new clothing for adults and children, children’s stationery, and personal protective gear (masks, antiseptics, gloves).
“One can bring [things] to any school in Adyghea and remain confident that these will be handed over to the regional headquarter. In our turn, we will dispatch them to Rostov Oblast, where our colleagues, volunteers of the similar regional headquarter help refugees in all ways,” Ovanes Shekeriants, Head of the Adyghean regional headquarter of the national charity activity, explained.
The collection points will be working as long as it is necessary.
The first batch of the humanitarian aid from Adyghea included twelve tons of various goods – food products and essential supplies.
