Krasnodar, 10 February. The list of contenders for the welfare benefit worth one million roubles has reportedly been prepared in Krasnodar Krai.
The regional Ministry for Fuel and Energy Complex, and Housing and Utility Services received lists of physicians, teachers and social workers in need of improved housing conditions, formed by Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy, and Ministry of Labour and Social Development, on the basis of submitted applications. This support measure will be implemented for the first time – at the first stage, the benefit will be given to 900 workers: 300 per each of the three Ministries. In total, 490 doctors, 1,401 teachers and 1,218 social workers had applied for the welfare payment. The priority was given according to the application date, and for the applicants who submitted their applications on the same day – taking into account the sequence of their registration by the administrative body. The successful applicants will have to dispose of their benefit within three months.
The initiative may reportedly be prolonged next year.
The benefit can be used as the first mortgage installment to buy a flat in either primary or secondary housing market, or to build or reconstruct a house.
