Krasnodar, 4 February. About 50,000 residents of Krasnodar Krai have reportedly applied for free of charge gas supply.
So far, natural gas has been laid to the boundaries of over 4,200 households, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev reported. For instance, recently gas pipelines were laid to Gulkevichi and Staromyshastovskaya Village, Dinskoi Rayon.
“We continue to actively implement President’s instructions. About 50,000 residents of [Krasnodar] Krai have applied for the program. At present, the natural gas penetration rate amounts to 84.5%; the gas supply program will let us reach 90.6%,” he said.
By now, 16,200 utility connection contracts have been signed in the region.
“We continue to lay pipelines at the expense of the regional budget. Special attention is being paid to Tuapse Rayon, where the construction of two new gas pipelines will begin this year,” Mr. Kondratiev added.
The free of charge gas supply program provides for the construction of feeding pipelines from the municipal main to household boundaries at the operator’s expense. In all municipalities of the region, special offices have been opened to collect the applications submitted by local residents.
