Krasnodar, 30 December. By the end of this year, 165 orphaned children will be granted own flats, Krasnodar Mayor’s Office’s press service announced.
The flats for orphaned children and children without parental support were bought in the framework of the regional program “Kuban Children” at the cost of the municipality.
According to Vice Mayor Roman Luzinov, provision of housing accommodation for orphaned children is one of the priority tasks in the work of the municipal authority. This year, 165 one-room flats were purchased. At present, they are fully prepared for occupation – the repair works have been completed, kitchen utilities and bathroom fixtures have been installed.
According to Pavel Abramchik, Head of the Housing Office, the task for 2021 had been to provide 165 orphaned children with accommodation. Because of the growing prices for real estate, deputies of the City Duma added 235,5 million roubles from the city budget to the initially approved sum of the regional subvention of 256.4 million roubles. Thereby, the yearly plan was fully fulfilled.
