Ready for the mass arrival of guests

Krasnodar, 16 December. The coordination group for the winter season will start its work at the end of December. 

Vice-Governor Alexander Ruppel held the first meeting dedicated to the soon-to-come holidays in the mountains of Sochi. The event has been attended by the heads of all ministries and departments responsible for organizing the reception and accommodation of guests, as well as for infrastructure preparation. 

- From December to March, we plan to welcome about 2,5 million guests, with the main influx taking place during the New Year holidays, with about 400 thousand people - said Alexander Ruppel. 

In 2020, during the Christmas holidays through the”Magri”check point, more than 20 thousand cars passed through daily, the most part of which went to the mountain cluster. This year, in order to ensure road safety and prevent traffic jams, a number of decisions have been made to unload parking areas in the mountain resorts cluster and to spread the load on intersecting parking lots.
