Krasnodar, 22 October. The progress of the construction and reconstruction of the A-290 and A-289 motor roads was reportedly discussed at a working meeting chaired over by Roman Novikov, Head of the Federal Road Agency.
These motor roads will be parts of the remote access to the Crimean Bridge. Currently, works are in progress for the construction of the A-289 motor road, Krasnodar – Slviansk-on-Kuban – Temriuk. The Directorate General for State Environmental Review has issued a prior approval of the project of the second, 51-km-long part of the road. The construction works are to begin in November. The 55.16 billion roubles needed to construct this road section are to be allocated from the federal budget in the framework of the national project “Safe and high-quality roads.”
When the works finish, the length of the new federal highway will be 119 km. It will detour the settlements. The project includes two large bridges across the Kuban and Protoka Rivers, ten multilevel flyovers and fifteen overpasses, over thirty bridges and over 160 small engineering structures. Besides, the participants of the meeting discussed the progress of the work for the A-290 motor road, Novorossiysk – Kerch. The project includes a detour of Anapa which will allow to take transit vehicles outside the city limits.
