Krasnodar, 29 September. The regional Legislative Assembly has reportedly discussed the working conditions of justices of peace.
Presently, many judicial districts are in dire straits.
“When addressing a justice court, citizens should see that they came to a governmental institution which is such in matter and not in name only. The working conditions of our JPs should comply with the requirements,” Yuri Burlachko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, stressed.
According to Oleg Butsky, Head of the regional JP Support Department, said that 201 out of the existing 270 judicial districts, or 74.4%, have approximated the standards on the area of court premises.
Since the end of 2020, a number of courts have undergone capital repairs; several premises were handed over to regional ownership; courtrooms have been reequipped.
To settle the issue, the Legislative Assembly has proposed to increase the number of justices of peace and of justice courts to 294. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to do capital repairs quicker.
