Krasnodar, 22 September. The Krasnodar Territory ranks fifth among Russian regions for the number of self-employed people. The Kuban follows Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Republic of Tatarstan. At the beginning of September there were 109.8 thousand self-employed in the region, which is 3.71% of all the self-employed people in the whole country.
- Self-employment gives an opportunity to conduct business legally, to receive a confirmed income, to openly advertise one’s business, as well as not to be afraid of penalties for illegal business activity. Self-employment can be easily arranged on a profile on the “My Tax” application, and combined with one’s main job, - said Vice-Governor Alexander Ruppel.
In the Kuban, this special tax regime was introduced on July 1, 2020. Since the beginning of 2021, the number of self-employed people in the region has increased by 2.6 times. The main activities self-employed are involved with are construction, repair and marketing services, renting apartments, services in the IT sphere, trade in self-produced goods, delivery services, and passenger transportation.
