A full school lunch

Krasnodar, 31 August. In the Krasnodar region 3.6 billion rubles were allocated in 2021 for the distribution of hot meals in schools. 

It became known during a visit of the Kuban Vice-Governor Anna Minkova to Krasnodar’s №3 school. Together with parents and teachers she checked the organization and quality of hot meals for the junior classes. The deputy head of the region also said that, starting on September 1, 307 thousand children in the Krasnodar Territory will be provided with the service. 

- We need to achieve the main goal - to form correct eating habits in our children, - she said. - The food should be both safe and of high quality. Schoolchildren shall get a complete set of food and microelements. Last year we implemented this project very successfully. 

According to the regional administration press service, funding will come from two sources: 2.6 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget while 1 billion, from the regional budget. In this case, each municipality may provide additional funding for the program in an amount they deem feasible. Anna Minkova added that most of the products are bought from local producers. 

Parents have the possibility to get acquainted with the menu on the schools’ websites or to come to school and try themselves the plates proposed by the institutions.
