Krasnodar, 13 July. A cycle of children’s tours entitled “Yekaterinodar is a Cossack city” has reportedly begun in Krasnodar krai.

This program will encompass 70 Cossack schools and 7 military cadet schools. The first tour took place last week; it was visited by 40 students of School No. 32 in Abinsk rayon and School No. 18 in Anapa. By the end of November, 77 tours will be held.

“The way to success goes across studying folk traditions. This is why we decided to hold a cycle of tours for Cossack classes and schools and military cadet schools. Over 1,500 students will take part in the project. Starting from this year, such tours for young Cossacks will become regular,” Aleksandr Vlasov, Vice Governor and Ataman of the Kuban Cossack Host, announced.

The route was developed by the Young Kuban Cossack League and specialists of the Felitsyn Krasnodar Museum Reserve. Young Cossacks aged eight and older will see the display “Regalia and memorabilia of the Kuban Cossack Host,” the Faithful Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky Cathedral of the Kuban Cossack Host, the historian Fedor Shcherbyna’s tomb by the St. Trinity Cathedral, and see the sights of Krasnaya Street, Krasnodar’s main thoroughfare. Board is included in the program.
