Paying for Privilege of Parking Downtown

Krasnodar, 25 June. On June 18, the municipal parking lots in Krasnodar resumed collection of charges for their services. 

The price remained as it was before, except for the railway station forecourt where the fees more than doubled. The car owners who would delay in paying the parking fee, will get a ticket. 

In Krasnodar, there are 266 municipal parking lots, including 18 autonomous parks with 835 slots and 248 kerbside parks for 7,256 slots. Payments can be done via 246 ticket machines. Besides, the parking environment includes 1,774 road signs, 561 road cones and 329 entry-limiting concrete hemispheres. According to the municipal service contract signed this month, Gorodskie Parkovki Company will continue to maintain the parking lots. This is the same company which had been in charge of the city parking lots over the past seven years. A novelty of the new contract is that the parking fees and penalties will be fully going into the city budget. It also provides for sanctions for nonfulfillment of the contract in amount of 100,000 roubles.
