Krasnodar, 11 June. The number of agritourism destinations has reportedly grown in Sochi.
If some five years ago there were about a dozen rural tourism destinations in the resort city, now their number has nearly doubled owing to the fact that more tourists are now preferring to spend time in quality environment.
“Agritourism is a strategic activity for our city and the [Krasnodar] region on the whole. The most popular kind of it is gastronomic journeys. Visitors come to rural destinations to taste certain meals and products, and learn more about the cooking processes. This is why we recommend that local producers expand their product assortment, at the same time retaining its quality,” Sochi Mayor Aleksei Kopaigorodsky commented.
Presently a number of agricultural facilities located in Sochi have acquired a positive experience of their use for tasting tours. Say, farms offer high-quality dairy products and present the manufacturing process.
