Krasnodar, 26 Мау. About 750 CCTV cameras have reportedly been installed at the beaches in Sochi, Anapa and Gelendzhik to enhance the safety of tourists.
As part of the law-enforcement practice, additionally 1,092 police officers will be working in the resort cities during the summer season; 380 of them will be seconded from other regions on July 1. Besides, public organizations will be involved to help them. Additionally, 115 juvenile division officers will be recruited to ensure the safe recreation of children. Besides, the density of traffic police patrols in close vicinity of children’s camps will be increased. Most cameras will be mounted in Sochi – about 500. Gelendzhik will get 146, and Anapa – about 100 cameras. Anapa Mayor Vasili Shvets informed that five additional police posts will appear in the city.
“The posts will be set up in the city centre, in Dzhemete, by the Zhemchuzina Rossii spa, and in Vityazevo. For the first time, special face recognition cameras will be installed in the city this year – the first ten cameras of the kind have already been installed,” he noted.
