Krasnodar, 28 April. Additional money will be allocated to implement the initiatives put forward by Kuban inhabitants, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced during a ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of Local Self-Governing.
“Last year, the Initiative Budgeting program received a large feedback – a lot of applications were submitted, which is why we are planning to expand its financing and invite investors,” Mr. Kondratiev said.
According to the press service of the regional administration, now 240 million roubles will be distributed among the winners of the program. The money will be spent to landscape public areas, including park and gardens, children’s playgrounds and sports grounds. On the whole, the project is intended until the end of the year 2024. The total sum of backup will be around 1.2 billion roubles.
Following the results of the 2020 competition, 183 projects were acknowledged the winners (out of the 232 participating projects). As a result, 56 sports and children’s playgrounds were equipped with necessary facilities, 45 public areas, 22 parks and public gardens, 20 military history monuments, and 7 village stadiums were put in good order.
