The Centre Invest Bank is the biggest regional bank operating in South Russia for 27 years. All these years, we have been actively participating in various volunteer activities and environmental actions, and forming ecological customs in our employees. And the main thing we are doing is representing our unique products to our clients. Ecological responsibility is written in the Bank Strategy together with its financial figures – such as granting loans to energy-efficient technologies and agricultural complex, upgrading residential towers, developing startups and female entrepreneurship. The volume of our energy-efficient investments has exceeded 18.8 billion roubles. The ecological effect of our work is equal to annual reduction of CO2 discharges to the atmosphere by 225,550 tons. Our experience of implementation of ESG principles has been internationally acknowledged by the Global Alliance – for Banking on Values (GABV) and the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). The Centre Invest was the first Russian bank to issue ‘green’ bonds, and gave its clients an opportunity to open a ‘green’ deposit account. All money raised by these instruments are invested in the real sector of South Russian economy to reach the objectives of sustainable development and performance goals of national projects.
Andrei Filippovsky, Head of Renommée Online Investment Consulting Group, said that obligatory initial segregation of waste is essential for ecological responsibility. The participants of the Eco Education panel session discussed various promotion methods and environmental actions on separate waste collection and consumers of the future. Large companies are not always able to find time to deal with ecological issues, which is why the Abinsk municipality jointly with Abinsk Electrometallurgical Factory developed an environment improving strategy.
