Krasnodar, 2 March. Over the past three winter months, the resorts of Krasnodar krai received more than two million tourists, or by 7% more than in the same period last year.
“Our spa and resort facilities have already learnt to work in the new conditions. The hotels observe all anti-COVID requirements.
According to the results of the three winter months we can see that the tourist flow to Krasnodar krai grew,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev reported.
Sochi’s mountain cluster is the traditional leader of winter tourism, Mr. Kondratiev added. The occupancy of hotels varied between 70% on the average and more than 90% on the holidays.
The occupancy of the other Black Sea resorts reached nearly 60%; the figure at the Sea of Azov was above 30%; and that in the steppe zone and at the foothills was 42%.
“These figures prove that not only Sochi or Gelendzhik but also our new small resorts are gradually overcoming the notion of ‘seasonality’,” he commented. “The investors are ready to invest in balneotherapy and building of stateof-the-art comfortable resorts by thermal waters.”
